The Contract

About the 2torr Network

The State of Affairs: I'm a HS teacher in NY. I have been teaching and tutoring for more than 30.  Most tutoring companies share a similar modeling which tutors work for them or work with them as independent contractors.

The company connects clients to tutors and they take a piece of every single session tutored.  Tutors earning $200 an hour are taking $120 week after week and often along with a non-compete clause.  The company only found the a client one time!  I agree they deserve a 'finders fee' but this model  just means the tutor is paid less and the client pays more.

The Alternative: An international and online tutoring directory.  Register to find tutors or join and list yourself as a tutor.  That's it.  And if you're one of the first 1000 members, it is free for life.  Because, after all, it's not really a tutoring directory/network with only 10, 20, or even 100 people on it.  So, for a limited time, members are free for the first year - including their tutor listing fees!

Vision: Build the largest tutoring directory on Earth to promote teaching and learning.
